Shifting Back To Veganism

Hello From Baton Rouge!!

A couple of things. I put together a quick video. I think that's another term for half ass? :) It is about adjusting your motorcycle for shifting with a prosthesis. I shot it really quickly with my cell. It's definitely not what I would call high production.. I still need to get a good workstation setup at my new place. I will put  a link below for those who might want to check it out.

I have changed my diet back to vegan. This time with more of an emphasis on eating real food. After all...Oreos, beer & pringles are all vegan. I'm not worried about how much I eat or going low carb. I've been doing some research & it appears natural carbs, from real food, even starches, may not be as bad as we have been led to believe? Simple carbs from processed foods is a different story.

This eating style is more of an eat whatever you want from the list of acceptable foods,  and as much as you want. Which is great because I'm not into counting carbs and calories or starving myself. Which makes sense. Veggies, even Starchy ones, fill you up typically with less calories than most meat related products.

I have been pretty good following this and feel like I'm seeing results already after a week. I've been riding my stationary bike every morning, sometimes even in the afternoon. I do feel better.

I've tried Keto in the past & was pretty miserable. I have tried other low carb diets and they all seemed to wreck havoc on my body. My arthritis kept flaring up. This whole foods no animal products thing has given me the best results in the past. I always have gotten to the point where I felt great & then went back to my old ways.

I have quit drinking as well. I'm on my second week. I have had a lot of issues over the last year. My gout has been constantly acting up. My blood pressure has been higher than I like.  Actually I have just not been feeling well. I drank quite a bit as the pandemic wore on. So I decided to make some changes.

This lifestyle change will hopefully combat everything from high BP to helping prevent other issues such as the onset of diabetes.

There is a lot of research out there suggesting even eating rice daily as a main staple is way better than filling yourself up with beef, pork and chicken, especially in high quantities. Case n point, the people of China & Japan before they were introduced to American style foods.

Anyway enough ranting about that. If you are interested I will also include a link about this style of eating.

Wish you well.
